Accompanying your Child

Providing excellent dental care in a safe environment is our top priority. This is why, for their first dental appointment, all children MUST BE accompanied by a parent or a legal guardian. We strongly recommend that you (parent or legal guardian) accompany your child for subsequent appointments. If you are not able to do so, please obtain the Authorization to Accompany Minor Form at your initial visit at the office and have it signed in front of a witness (one of our team members) that same day. If you are not able to do so, it will need to be notarized prior to your child’s next appointment. Treatment decisions/consents can only be obtained from parents or legal guardian.

Missed appointments

If you are unable to keep your child’s appointment, we would appreciate at least a 24-hours notice. We would be glad to reschedule your appointment at a more convenient time if necessary. We reserve the right to charge for missed appointments. Saturdays is available by appointment only and requires 48-hours cancellation notice. These days are in high demand and if notice is not provided within adequate time, it forfeits future Saturday appointments and incurs a charge of $50 cancellation fee.

Emergencies

Unfortunately, dental emergencies do arise. We will make every effort to assess your child’s emergency on the phone and make him/her an appropriate appointment. Based on our experience and the type of emergency, we can determine how urgent we need to see your child. We ask for your patience when we might be delayed in seeing your child due to an urgent situation with another patient.

Financial Policy

We are delighted to welcome your child to our practice to provide excellent dental care. The following is a statement of our financial policy. Payment is expected at the time services are rendered, the parent who accompanies the patient to the appointment will be responsible for payments. If you are unable to be with you child at the time of his/her appointments, payment arrangements should be made prior to the dental visit. If you have concerns or questions regarding this policy, please feel free to discuss this with our treatment coordinator. It is our pleasure to process your dental insurance, however, anything denied by the dental insurance is the patient’s responsibility.

Treatment/ Routine Visits

We welcome you to stay with your child during the initial examination. For future appointments, we suggest you allow your child to accompany our team members through the dental experience. We will do our best to give your child a fun, pleasant, and pain free experience. A closer rapport with your child can be established when you are not present. Our purpose is to gain your child’s trust and overcome apprehension. However, if you choose, one parent/guardian may come with your child but must remain outside the treatment room. For the safety and privacy of all patients, we ask other children who are not being treated should remain in the reception room with a supervising adult.

Payment methods

We accept American Express, Discover, Master Card, Visa, and Cash. All returned checks are subject to a thirty-five (35) dollars service charge.
